Perceptions kill perfection many times

Michael Stevens was a famous painter. Once in every six months, he exhibited his paintings and puts them up for auction. All of his modern arts were worth thousands of dollars in auction. For those six months he was unable to draw any paintings properly due to family problem. But if he does not display the paintings within a week, his clients would find another artist and his market value would also go down. Not knowing what to do, he went to the beach. He wandered restless here and there. The mind was troubled. Going even further distance, there was a man from another town who was hoarding to sell his paintings for two dollars each. All were very elegant paintings. Almost, there were a hundred paintings. But, there was not even one person to buy it. Michael Stevens bought all the paintings for five hundred dollars. He came home and drew his signature on the paintings, called his regular vendor to fix frames to the paintings. Within a week everything was over very neatly. The day came for the painting to be displayed. His assistant hung all the paintings one by one in the exhibition gallery. Large crowd gathered to see the paintings. Among them was John Elford, a close friend of Stevens. He was an adept at admiring and commenting on paintings. Elford, who had been looking at several paintings, was standing in front of a painting for a long time. Many who followed him stared at the painting. Everyone who saw it gave different ideas about it. The exhibition came to an end and the auction began. All the paintings were auctioned off at a higher price than usual. In the end, the painting, which Elford had been staring at for a long time, came up for auction. The value of the painting went up in auction and eventually sold for 12000 dollars. Elford went into a state of shock and approached straight to Stevens and said, "It's the most disgusting painting you've ever made. I took that for a long time to figure out what it meant. But nothing is in it. I’m surprised how it was gone for USD 12000” he asked.  Stevens smiled and said, "It's not my painting. When I started painting on the sheet and within a few lines drawn, an argument began between me and my wife. I had forgotten that it was her birthday that day. She poured a cup of hot milk tea on the sheet to show her anger. I had put the sheet aside in the living room. The vendor, who came to fix frames to other paintings, fitted the frame to this sheet also. Unknowingly my assistant also hanged the same in the gallery along with other paintings. As you stared at the sheet for a long time, the people followed you in the queue also spent a lot of time on that sheet thinking that there was something important in it. In fact, I did not even paint one of these paintings. These paintings, which I bought for five hundred dollars, went for five lakh dollars today. "

Thus, many products, many ideas and ideologies are marketed in the name of public opinion or through advertising. We choose many based on perception or predict many people based on conjecture. This is due to the situation, popularity, glamor, marketing, advertising, public opinion, blind faith, mass opinion, mass media, recommendation and many other stimuli. Most people do not think and act on their own insight but they follow one another like a flock of sheep.

The World that did not accept the principles of Socrates and Jesus Christ and killed them for their principles, today the same World accepts their teachings as philosophies (only). If Jesus Christ were in the world today, he would be saying his thoughts in some corner of the world that nobody could recognize him. There would be no one to listen to his preaching. But the people who think of him as God, are running behind various men keeping the teachings of Christ to sleep. Those men are adding wealth by marketing themselves in the name of Christ. None of the best will be touched. All the fakes are on stage. This is the world of marketing. Perceptions in many times often lead to wrong conclusions. The right ones will fail.

“And he said, “Go, and say to this people: “‘Keep on hearing, but do not understand; keep on seeing, but do not perceive.’ Make the heart of this people dull, and their ears heavy, and blind their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn and be healed.”  (Isaiah 6:9-10)

“Hear, you deaf;
    look, you blind, and see!
 Who is blind but my servant,
    and deaf like the messenger I send?
Who is blind like the one in covenant with me,
    blind like the servant of the LORD?
 You have seen many things, but you pay no attention;
    your ears are open, but you do not listen.”  (Isaiah 42: 18-20)

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” (Romans 12:2)
